Can GHL really connect to our Instagram DMs?
Yes. GHL connects to your Instagram Business account via the official Meta API. When a client DMs your salon account, GHL picks it up instantly and sends an automatic reply appearing to come from your account as normal. The same works for Facebook Messenger if you use it. Setup requires connecting your Instagram Business account to a Facebook Business Page, which we handle entirely during the build.
We already use Fresha or Vagaro do we need to switch?
Not necessarily. If your existing booking tool works well for managing your schedule, GHL can sit alongside it handling all client communication, reminders, re-engagement campaigns, and reviews, while your existing tool manages the calendar. Alternatively, GHL has its own built-in booking calendar that many salons switch to entirely. We'll assess your current setup on the discovery call and recommend the right approach.
Is client data private and safe for a ladies-only salon?
Yes. Client data is stored in GHL with role-based access only the team members you authorise can see client profiles, photos, or contact details. We can lock down access by role (e.g. stylists see only their own clients, managers see all) and ensure no client data is shared externally. For ladies-only salons, this discretion is built into the setup from day one.
How does the service recall campaign know when to message a client?
When a client completes a booking, GHL logs the service with a timestamp. We set up service tags so each client only gets relevant messages based on what she actually had done. So a client who had a colour gets a "your colour is due in 6 weeks" recall, a lash client gets a 3-week refill reminder, and a gel-nail client gets a 2-week fill nudge. Each cycle is tailored to the service, not a generic blast.
Can it work in Arabic for Arabic-speaking clients?
Yes. All automated messages booking confirmations, reminders, re-engagement campaigns, review requests, birthday messages can be set up in Arabic, English, or both. We can detect language from prior messages or tag clients by language preference. Arabic support is included in the Growth Salon and Salon Group packages.
What about our existing client list? Can we import it?
Yes. If you have a client list in Excel, Google Sheets, WhatsApp, or any booking tool that can export data, we can import it into GHL with names, phone numbers, service history, and any preference notes.
